I don’t know about you, but I love garlic! I can’t really get enough and pretty much use it every day in my cooking, and unfortunately, that involves a lot of garlic peeling!
There are lots of different tips on how to peel garlic, but this trick from busy chef Ted Corrado is pretty spectacular.
Ted is the Executive Chef for the uber-popular Drake Hotel Properties in Toronto. When I met up with him at Taste of Toronto, he had finished making thousands of real-food dishes from scratch in a matter of days. So, you can bet, he knows a thing or two about saving time in his kitchen.
Plus, he’s got a great sense of humour, as you will see from my mildly inappropriate, and completely innocent, play on words in this fun and informative video.

Garlic is a well-known super food. It’s anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal so it’s a fantastic natural remedy for a host of illnesses. You can read more about the immune-boosting properties of garlic in my Top Ten Ways to Fight a Cold or Flu. Plus, it just makes everything taste SO amazing!
I’d like to extend a huge thank you to Ted for carving out a moment in his hectic day to share this valuable kitchen time saver. I know that I’ll definitely be forever thankful!
What do you think? Are you going to use this technique in your kitchen? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. And don’t forget to share this garlic peeling tip with friends. Sharing is caring after all!
That was amazing.
And slightly racy.
These things happen organically sometimes, Zain 😉 Like how I used the word organic in there?
