Blueberry Coconut Bowl

Bluebs on bluebs! This blueberry #smoothiebowl got me like, whoa. It’s fully loaded to kickstart the day with: Frozen blueberries, banana, kale, lime, coconut milk, hemp, almond butter and cacao nibs. Can you say fibre bonanza? Fibre is great for so many things including lowering your “bad cholesterol”, balancing your hormones and feeding the good guys in your gut. Plus there’s also a whole lot of antioxidants, healthy fats vitamins and minerals in this quick and easy recipe. I love adding a bit of citrus to these sweet smoothies to make it pop. Experiment with whatever works for you. Here’s a guideline:

Use organic ingredients when possible
Ingredients
  • 1 c frozen blueberries
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 handfuls kale
  • ½ peeled lime
  • 1 c coconut milk
  • 3 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 2 tbsp cacao nubs
Instructions
  1. Blend everything in blender until smooth. Add more coconut milk or water to desired consistency
  2. Add cacao nibs at the end and give a few quick blends to mix throughout
